Stages of Stitch - Second time with watercolors

Hey guys,

So I woke up this morning wanting to draw watercolor and ink (also, I felt a little nostalgic) so I draw a watercolor Stitch from Lilo & Stitch. It's only my second time using watercolors so please ignore a few obvious mishaps but for the most part, I'm pretty happy with what I did.

Here are the three stages:

As I practice more and more I'll improve, I suppose. But in the meantime, I'm still open to drawing pictures for you guys! I haven't met my goal and I'm still trying hard so think about getting one if you're so inclined. I'll draw anything (with a few obvious exceptions, of course). =)

How about I draw Lilo next?

Summer's Here!

Hey Guys,

So my friend graduated from 8th grade so I drew her a present because I wasn't able to go to the party or ceremony which she kindly invited me to. She usually goes to an island from during the summer and gets her hair braided, so I made this for her:

Happy Summer guys!
Don't forget, I'll draw you pictures that are Summer themed or anything else, so visit the Contact Page! =)

For Those Who Know the Doctor's Daughter...

Hey Guys,

I'm not entirely sure how many people who watch Doctor Who pass by my charity blog, but for those who are familiar with at least David Tennant, this is officially my third DW fan art. I woke up one morning and went directly to my computer to draw this before I went to school. I really don't know why it popped up into my head but I'm glad it happened.
For fans of this show, please remember that Skiddish Art is a business that I created based on commissions. The money goes towards my goal to buy a handicapped van for my quadriplegic aunt. With that in mind, I am open to doing original characters or drawings with yourself (or a friend/child) as the Doctor, a companion, or any other Doctor Who related theme. Please consider it. It's an awesome thing to have and the money helps a person. =)

Here are the prices: Contact Page

Celebrity Toons

Hey Guys,

Sorry I haven't posted in a while - I've been busy illustrating the front cover of my brother's book ARC. But I'm back today with something a little different. So I was trying my hand at celebrity cartoons today and I decided to do this guy. Can any of you guess who he is?
I think I did okay as this was my first attempt at drawing Tom Cruise and I did it in a short amount of time. I see a few improvements I can easily make next time. Maybe I'll try drawing another celeb next week?

Paper Sketch

Hey Guys,

So I deviated from my usual digital art today but that's only because I didn't really mean to draw this. Here in CT the allergies are HORRIBLE for everyone... So for the past two weeks I've been miserable. I was lying down listening to my radio when I picked up my sketch pad and started drawing this. I actually think this is the first time I've ever drawn an idea on my first attempt. But it's on paper.. Usually I don't mind that - in fact I like drawing on paper. But I did this neat shading style that I've only attempted once before and I thought it came out nicely. However, the scanner isn't the greatest and all the color got washed out of it. So what you're seeing isn't nearly as cool as what I drew. So you know what that means! DIGITAL RE-DO!
But for this week enjoy!

New Day!?!

Hey Guys,

So you may or may not know that I typically post on Tuesdays or Thursdays. But this year I'm changing it to Tuesdays or Fridays. Not a major change but it helps me with my new schedule.
Here's a fun little cartoon-ish style I was playing around with today. This is one of my first honest quick sketches in a long time. It took me about 1 and a half minutes. =)

Tragedy in Boston

Hi Guys,

Yesterday, I was devastated to hear about the bombing on Boston's marathoners. Another tragedy so soon after the events in Sandy Hook can leave a lot of us feeling numb inside. But even when you think times are at it's worst, we can all still hope for a brighter day tomorrow. I have hope that one day the world will be united and we won't have to worry about the sadness and the pain anymore. No matter what anybody does, they'll never be able to take my hope away - and I hope they won't take yours away either.

EDIT: I apologize for the glitch with the drawing making a second, much larger version of it appear on the screen. I'm not sure what happened but there's no way for me to fix it. Sorry. =(
